Fallout: New Vegas won't work?

Ok so i have Fallout: New Vegas on ps3, but when i go to play it, it goes to install it but it keeps stopping at 41%, i have had to force quit out, and i tried it again but it just keeps stopping at 41%. i even left it over night and when i woke up it was still at the same point. What on earth is wrong with it?? the disc hasnt got a single scratch on it nor is there anything wrong with the console, its a brand new console i bought it last week. can anyone help??????
